If you have not registered your tool and it locks down, does anyone know a way to locate the serial number?

     If you have not registered your tool and it locks down, does anyone know a way to locate the serial number?  the serial number sticker has been worn off.  Is there any way to unlock the scanner?

     If you saved the box it came out of , it might have a small white sticker with the unit's serial number.
    If you can't enter diagnostics , but can still access settings , scroll all the way to bottom and click on "About"It will display serial number, unit password, and other information.
    If you bought the tool second hand with a worn serial number maybe it was stolen and locked for a reason.
